Frequently asked questions.
what should I expect when getting a tattoo?
For me, tattooing is about more than just the tattoo itself. I want every appointment to feel like a personalized experience from the moment you walk into the studio until the moment you leave. I want my clients to feel comfortable, heard, excited, and completely involved in creating something that feels personal to them. With that being said. Expect a consultation before the tattooing begins. Once a design, size and price is agreed upon then the tattooing begins. After your fresh tattoo is wrapped I provide an after care kit with everything you need to heal your tattoo and will go over the steps with you to ensure the best healing process.
Does it hurt?
This one is a tricky question. Everyone has different pain tolerances and some spots hurt more than others. If you’re worried about the pain never be afraid to reach out before your appointment. I will recommend a numbing cream with the steps of how to apply it correctly before the appointment without jeopardizing the integrity of the skin.
What does the healing process look like for the eyebrow tattooing?
For brows expect to have darker brows the first 2-3 days after they are initially tattooed. Then comes a bit of a dry/flakey stage. During this part of the healing the cream I provide will help so much to subside the itchy feeling. This stage only last a few days. 10 days is the sweet spot number that I have found for full healing. During these 10 days you want to be sure to avoid heavy sun exposure and sweating. Neither of those are good for the healing process. After they are finished healing you’ll be able to see a natural result with hair strokes throughout the brows.
How do you price your tattoos?
I price by the piece not hourly. It is discussed before the session of what the tattoo will cost so you’re not going into the session blind of what it’s going to cost at the end.
How do I prep for a tattoo?
This is important!! The secret to a great tattoo is starting prep the day before. It’s always ideal that before a tattoo you get a good nights rest the day before and make sure you eat something prior to you coming in! Always feel free to bring in your fav snacks or a sweet treat for during the session as well. I also recommend a light exfoliation the day before of wherever the tattoo is going to be in order to remove any dead skin from the area. This goes for brows or anywhere else on the body. If you are sick or sunburnt please reach out to let the artist know you need to reschedule!
